Yes, it is that time of year again as we prepare to take the state tests. You all know the test I mean.
I wonder how you feel about these tests. Here's a list of questions that I have for you. I really want to know.
Do you think they help you? Why?
Do you think you are prepared to take the test?
If not what more do you think ought to be done?
Do you think there is a better way to determine if you have learned?

Why do you think the tests are given?
How do you know if you have learned something?
What do you want to say about testing that I haven't thought of?
My friends in Canada would say that we write tests, I think color or bubble is more correct. My Canadian friends also wonder where we take a test. Do we take it to the park? Do we take it to the zoo? Just a little humor there; okay very little humor.

i think at some point they do help you, but it hurts some people to! i think this year i am more nervous than EVER to take these tests! im fine with the reading one but math....at the beggining of the year i had problems with my math teacher...so towards the middle of the year i switched. i love my math teacher now, i think i learn better and understand the way she teaches. but im really scared about what i was already suppose to know because i dont feel like ive learned it...and thats everything from the beggining of the year to the middle. :(
i think the tests are given to prove what we've learned and see if were at the level we're suppose to be at.
over all though, i feel pretty confident! i think everything will be okay!

...oh,(no names,) but im really sorry about your student. i know that must be hard, but i know everything will be okay! hang in there.
I think testing helps you alot.Because if there wasnt testing nobody would learn,which means nobody would get an education.Then nobody could work.And people would soon die off.So i think testing is very important.

I think i am ready for the reading test but not for the math.

No even thought I hate the test because they take so long.
